What she said. #nailedit
your average Hollywood bigshot is no more knowledgeable or interesting on the great issues of our time than my great aunt Gladys. My take on why @rickygervais got it right. https://t.co/GZvtAQRCjR

What he said. #nailedit
1. Simply pointing out whether someone is left or right wing isn't winning the argument.
2. If a joke is good enough, it can be enjoyed by anyone.
3. It's not all about you.
4. Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.— Ricky Gervais (@rickygervais) January 8, 2020
Gervais’ most poignant moment came when he torched Apple, Amazon, and Disney for their oppressive, skinflint labor practices. Apple CEO Tim Cook was in the audience and could do nothing but take the face punch.
Jokes are jokes. Just because the butt of the joke doesn’t enjoy it, the truth of the zinger made it a fabulous comedic concept.
Known for being a control freak, Cook had to be humiliated as he sat for the rest of the three hour show with that one Gervais crack spinning wildly in his brain.
The CEOs of Amazon and Disney made a good choice to either avoid attending or staying out of camera range.
Monica Nickelsburg chronicles the unsavory labor issues that Gervais spotlighted to millions of Americans watching on TV.
