Is radio dead? Is TV dead? Nope. But there is a reframing of information flow. A recent poll lists broadcasting as one of today's worst career choices. You may be surprised to learn how little most TV and radio people earn. Others predict the end of talk radio following the 2016 elections. No way. Local talk shows allow each city's residents to weigh in on local issues. The local radio station is the kitchen table where everyone can throw in their two cents or at least eavesdrop on those who do. I completely love my 40 year broadcast career and have rarely regretted choosing it. I have learned 10 million things by talking with a zillion people on

University of Louisville head football coach Bobby Petrino visited Great Day Live after his family foundation donated $1 million to Kosair Children's Hospital. Bobby talked of his family's commitment to Louisville, his daughter Kelsey's leadership qualities and his daughter Katie's sporting stardom for the Lady Cards golf team. With the Cardinals moving into the ACC, Coach Petrino said the team is hyper-excited to take on the higher level of competition and that the most important thing is to win every home game as the fans make PJCS the toughest place to play in America.

It was fun having a marriage proposal on live TV. Watch these two young people become engaged on Great Day Live. And if Valentine's Day is awful for you, watch the Michael Jackson or Sinead O'Connor videos to feel your vibe.
It’s da shuuuuuuuzzzzzzz, baby!
At 11 a.m. on January 15, 2014, I realized that I'd already been to Mass and then hosted a live TV show wearing two different styles of shoes. Not one person mentioned my mismatch. Am I so cray cray now that no one even notices an oddity of this level? Time to hire a Man Friday. You'll note in the photo that I also lost a tassel. You can see the different shoes in this TV segment. I never caught it until I went home to change. Here's some video from Great Day Live where you can see my mismatched shoes.
Dr. Pepper ain’t no soft drink
Louisville dentist Jason McNabb holds a Guinness World Record for pepper consumption. Disgusting. I tried to eat a portion of one on live TV with less than pleasant results. Do not attempt this at home. Unless you're stupid.
