Our iHeart Radio #BBN god Matt Jones is a terrific radio talent. He is provocative, knowledgable, and humorous. I am a friend and fan. Matt brings a lot of attention to our business which boosts all of our stations. These same attributes can be said of Tennessee broadcast icon Clay Travis, founder of Outkick.com and a host of many sports and cultural amplifying media products. These two can't stand each other. Matt just brag tweeted about his Kentucky Sports Radio (KSR) show being #1 in America. Clay wasn't going to let that incorrect claim stand for long. This is 1 billion % not true dude. Cowherd does over 10 million downloads a month. Thatโs the most in iheart sports, but many iheart sports shows

Matt Jones on “Burnt Hair” radio, Mitch, poverty, and Kentucky culture
This may be my favorite and funniest interview I have ever done with Terry. Take a listen if you want https://t.co/NQNSC8unHw— Matt Jones (@KySportsRadio) January 3, 2020 Kentucky Sports Radio founder Matt Jones popped by my radio studio today to talk about his upcoming book MITCH, PLEASE. It was more than comedy gold, Jerry! It was a great piece of broadcasting about Kentucky, politics, poverty, and promise. Matt and I trust each other enough to go deep on lots of subjects that would make other broadcasters squirm. Regardless of school rivalry silliness, I want it stated for the record (again) that I think Matt Jones is one of the smartest, most effective media personalities I've ever experienced. Great media material is always
Matt Jones knows where his bread is buttered, politics will have to wait
Happy for my broadcast brother @KySportsRadio ๐ Matt is a quality human being who wants to improve our world. Nonetheless, Iโm selfishly delighted to have him stay with @iHeartRadio. Our chat is linked below. ๐๐พ๐ฏ https://t.co/VZpuNaOm9e— Terry Meiners (@terrymeiners) November 15, 2019 Radio/TV personality Matt Jones popped by my studio today to discuss his decision to stay out of the 2020 senate race. We also talked about the invaluable commitments of family and colleagues in making professional decisions. Eventually we talked about UK's topsy turvy football season and #1 Kentucky's embarrassing loss to mid-major Evansville in Rupp Arena. Everyone wins with the Matt Jones decision. There won't be a brutal and embarrassing political campaign against Semate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's
Matt Jones notes his 8 year ride started in my WHAS studio
I appreciate the kindness and integrity of Matt Jones, founder of Kentucky Sports Radio. The first time I heard him on the air, I thought to myself, "There's my replacement." Matt took a group of smart, funny writers with shrewd youthful observations and launched a compelling, constantly updated University of Kentucky athletics fan site. Kentucky Sports Radio is a daily beacon of all things Big Blue Nation. The statewide radio show is hilariously provocative and informative. There's a terrific podcast. Matt's Lexington television show HEY KENTUCKY gets strong reviews. I'm happy for Matt, Ryan Lemond, Shannon the Dude, Drew Franklin, Mrs. Tyler Thompson, Turkey Hunter, and the entire crew. They've made Kentucky media sit up and notice, and they
Three times less than perfect
Kentucky Wildcats basketball coach John Calipari speaks to the media following UK's third loss in a season some expected to be flawless. North Carolina beat Kentucky 82-77 in the Wildcats' first true road game. Calipari said that UNC "deserved to win" and that his guys "need to get knocked in the teeth" in order to learn. "Hopefully you'll see progress," Calipari wished out loud. Although many fans thought that this magnificent #1 recruiting class would give UK a perfect "40 and oh" season, this loss to North Carolina on the heels of losses to Baylor and Michigan State have dampened spirits across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. UK hosts archrival Louisville in two weeks. Suddenly, Cats fans are not as confident as they
