It's a high holy day for the legions of atheists, humanists, godless, or any number of other self-labels people irked by religion call themselves. Tonight's premiere of Season 5 of The Walking Dead warms the zombie-loving hearts of people who revel in televised gore, violence, and societal descent into anarchy. Retailers have long noted an economic shift from Christmas decoration fervor to enhanced and prolonged Halloween euphoria. It's not totally true. Halloween has grown exponentially but still trails #1 Christmas, then Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Father's Day, and Super Bowl sales. Back to school sales are actually ranked #2 but that's no holiday...that is a HELL worse than a zombie apocalypse. Zombies rule, at least in cinema. Decider.com
