There's signs Congress may respond to new calls for tighter gun control after the recent massacres. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tells @CBSNewsRadio @840WHAS, that he will talk with members during the August recess, to see what kind of bills they'll support. pic.twitter.com/vIXbftwPCi— CBS This Morning (@CBSThisMorning) August 9, 2019 After the mass shootings in Ohio and Texas, the push for tighter gun control appears to be gaining momentum with some key lawmakers, @peteralexander reports. pic.twitter.com/69TFAW2QB5— TODAY (@TODAYshow) August 9, 2019 Looking forward to joining @TerryMeiners today on @840WHAS in #Kentucky to discuss the news of the day. Trump stumps in Cincinnati following Dem debates, promises to rally for Bevin in Kentucky
Thank you Cincinnati, Ohio. Together, we are going to KEEP AMERICA GREAT! https://t.co/sKPAW8e8qN— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 2, 2019 President Donald Trump visited Cincinnati following two nights of Democrat debates. He opened with comments pertaining to his early work in the Cincinnati area and immediately swerved into the debate aftermath. Trump endorses Daniel Cameron for Kentucky attorney general, Dems livid over former GOP spox tweeting back at Stumbo’s daughter
๐ป Here's @DanielCameronAG reacting to his endorsement from @realDonaldTrump, tweet authorship, @WhiteHouse protocol, #FancyFarm, and backlash over @treswatson dragging daughter of @StumboForAG into fray ๐๏ธ LISTEN https://t.co/DBp2DHiOwc #KYpolitics #Election2019 @840WHAS pic.twitter.com/xV5nxALdZU— Terry Meiners (@terrymeiners) July 29, 2019 President Donald Trump invited Daniel Cameron to the White House last week for a chat and an endorsement in his race to become Kentucky's first African American attorney general. Cameron and I talked on the radio today about 30 minutes after Trump tweeted his endorsement news that was embargoed until today's tweet was posted. ....He is tough on Crime, Strong on Borders, and will fight for our Second Amendment. Daniel will never let you down. He has my Full and Complete Endorsement!— Donald J. Trump
Trump rally spurs chants of FOUR MORE YEARS and SEND HER BACK
President Donald Trump tore the roof off the sucka at another rousing rally. Thousands packed a Greenville, North Carolina arena where the president ripped into Democrat presidential hopefuls and THE SQUAD, stirring up the Liberal outrage machine again. Rep. John Yarmuth (Ky-3) has referred to President Trump as a moron on Twitter and questioned his sanity. Yarmuth certainly took issue with the Trump rally chant of "send her back" aimed at Somali American Rep. Ilhan Omar. I donโt know whether to scream or cry. Probably both. This must not be the future of America. Itโs bad enough itโs the present. https://t.co/Kppp4jTPW3— Rep. John Yarmuth (@RepJohnYarmuth) July 18, 2019 Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky) responded to the rally by saying Trump
The Squad would never endorse Barack Obama today
Flashback Clip of the Day: In 2014, @BarackObama says crime and poverty do not justify an asylum claim pic.twitter.com/SorutFTXL9— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) July 15, 2019 No way Barack Obama could win the approval of progressive Democrats today. Listen to his 2014 comments on migrants seeking asylum based on crime and poverty in their homeland. B.O. ain't WOKE, y'all. The Squad (aka Jihad Squad, Facade Squad, Sistah Squad, and a thousand other names) or Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ayanna Pressley are dragging older Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden to the far left, a losing strategy. Omar has a Twitter trail of anti-Semitic comments. Tlaib, too, casts aspersions upon supporters of Israel. Pressley demands
NBC debate mods sharpened their skills for the second debate as kooky author rises above the fray
On the 2nd night of the Democrat debates in Miami, candidates all talked over each other trying to take command of the stage. In the following radio monologue, I predicted that none of the NBC anchors would hammer any Democrat the way Megyn Kelly crushed Donald Trump out of the gate in the 2015 Republican debate on Fox News. I stand corrected. Megyn's crushing of Trump is still in a league of its own, but Democrat-friendly NBC moderators did move beyond their usual fawning positions. I was impressed by Rachel Maddow asking Mayor Pete Buttigieg about South Bend's police racial problems. Buttigieg is the gay icon in this race and Maddow is a lesbian. She's not going easy
Mitch McConnell on Bevin’s tight primary win, impeachment value for GOP, Trump vs Pelosi, and vaping teens
After a surprisingly close primary win for Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, I asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell if he would offer support for Bevin's re-election in the November general election. McConnell and Bevin have a complicated relationship stemming back to Bevin's campaign to unseat McConnell in 2014. The McConnell team labeled their opponent Bailout Bevin, calling him a con man and liar. Today on WHAS Radio, Senator McConnell promised to fully support Bevin's re-election. Kentucky's senior senator also touted attorney general candidate Daniel Cameron, a former McConnell staffer. Kentucky has not had a Republican attorney general since the 1940s. ๐ป @senatemajldr Mitch McConnell on helping @GovMattBevin win in November, acrimony between @realDonaldTrump & @SpeakerPelosi, value of impeachment for @GOP, and raising cigs
That time I won the Kentucky Derby. Until I didn’t. But at least I won when I took Mary home.
Mary and I had a ball at Unbridled Eve and the next day at the 145th Kentucky Derby... ...until the racing stewards cancelled my winning ticket by disqualifying winner Maximum Security. Oops! Ain't gonna bump no more with no big, fat racehorse. Yahoo Sports columnist Pat Forde tells the jaw-dropping tale of unbridled elation followed by Maximum Security's designation as "a racing immortal for all the wrong reasons." President Trump weighed in with a misspelled tweet, later reposted with the correct spelling of Kentucky.
Schiff Happens – Liberals bamboozled again as “Russian to judgment” pays no rubles
"I applaud you, Donnie! NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, and The New York Times worked it as hard as they could yet came up with a nothing burger. I am heartbroken but still powerful, Donnie! Go ahead and shoot someone on Fifth Avenue. Apparently no one can do anything about it!" Poor sad Liberals. Our lefty media spoon feeds them hope every day that "it's the beginning of the end" for Donald Trump because "the walls are closing in." Breathless media reports of BOMBSHELL BREAKING NEWS stories that declare "there's no way out" for Trump. Hahahahaha. Nope. There is much fresh sadness in Liberal Land. After months of hysterical news reports about the Mueller investigation into Donald Trump's OBVIOUS collusion with Russians,
Represent.us — Welcome to the Jennifer Lawrence civics class and the things she left out
For over two years, America's news anchors have been breathlessly declaring that Donald Trump's presidency "is near the end" with daily BOMBSHELL reports of "the walls closing in" toward impeachment. Louisville actor Jennifer Lawrence and her politically active friends claim they're offering a nonpartisan solution to America's hysteria-driven news cycle. Jennifer Lawrence and Represent.us have a strategy to change our political system. Will it fly? What Jennifer is not acknowledging is that too many megaphones with differing opinions all monetize misery. MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, et al. make a living by siding with liberals on virtually every issue, always demonizing the conservatives. Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Breitbart, et al. do the same thing in reverse. THere's money in them
