University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, the only coach to win national titles with two different schools, followed through on his promise to get a tattoo if his 2013 Louisville team won the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals defeated Michigan on April 8. On the morning of April 26, 2013, Pitino sat in the chair at Tattoo Salvation and got an old English L symbol with the team’s record of 35-5. VIDEO

Coach Pitino’s staff members brought the NCAA Championship trophy in case he needed to grab onto a steadying item. Not necessary.
Tattoo Salvation owner Adam Potts said Coach Pitino “didn’t even wince” during the thirty minute process. Coach P’s staff members Jordan Sucher and Vinny Tatum were inked with NCAA Championship tattoos days earlier.
