Radio talk show host Peter Schiff asks Wal-Mart customers about raising prices to match the demand for higher wages. Hilarity ensues. Fair trade isn't quite as fair if it means more money coming from your pockets.

American Hustle: The one word review: fantastic
TRAILER SOUNDTRACK AMERICAN HUSTLE (R) Grifters Christian Bale & Amy Adams drive this frenetic con game story with Jennifer Lawrence's kept woman character described as the "Picasso of passive aggressive karate." Bradley Cooper is also outstanding as a driven FBI agent hoping to make a make the bigs. Jeremy Renner is an enterprising New Jersey mayor who is sucked into the cyclone of greed. Robert DeNiro's intimidation has never been more riveting. It's a mad, crazy, sad, clever combination of power grabs and money grubbing. Great film. Long form review: NY Daily News

Three times less than perfect
Kentucky Wildcats basketball coach John Calipari speaks to the media following UK's third loss in a season some expected to be flawless. North Carolina beat Kentucky 82-77 in the Wildcats' first true road game. Calipari said that UNC "deserved to win" and that his guys "need to get knocked in the teeth" in order to learn. "Hopefully you'll see progress," Calipari wished out loud. Although many fans thought that this magnificent #1 recruiting class would give UK a perfect "40 and oh" season, this loss to North Carolina on the heels of losses to Baylor and Michigan State have dampened spirits across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. UK hosts archrival Louisville in two weeks. Suddenly, Cats fans are not as confident as they

An Ohio police chief responded to Kanye West's ridiculous suggestion that his job as a performer is dangerous like that of a soldier or a police officer. Here's the link to the chief's Facebook page. Open letter from Police Chief David Oliver to Kanye West Dear Kanye West, I am honored to be writing such an important star. I am a mere Internet sensation. I’m not sure I am worthy to address you, although the Huffington Post did say I was “Humorous and Insanely Popular.” I don’t pay much attention to those things. Anyway, please excuse my interference in your life for a quick second. I read your interview and also watched it on video. You said: “I’m just giving of my body on the stage
Max Meiners — He got the last laugh
Max is an awesome son. In his role as a TV director, he has access to the intercom system that plays into the earpieces worn by TV reporters. Several years ago I was standing out in the rain waiting to go on live TV when my son's voice popped in my earpiece. "Hey Dad," Max said. "Do you remember all those times we were driving to school and you would point to guys working out in the bad weather? You always said that was a lesson about staying in school so that I'd get a good job working indoors someday." As the rain continued pouring, I waited for his last line. "Who's the smart guy now?"
Just keep your hands to your selfie
During Nelson Mandela's memorial, a selfie spurred a game of musical chairs and got tongues wagging. No unreadable sign language hands were observed in the guest box. And oh, there was plenty observation going on, bitches.
