Here are a few recent interviews from my WHAS Radio afternoon show. I never tire of learning incredible personal stories, floating into current events, and promoting tales of personal service. 2-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank plays #Louisville hairdresser Sharon Stevens Evans in @OrdinaryAngels, a true story about helping a family in crisis. 🧵Here's my radio chat with Sharon last month on @840WHAS 🗣 https://t.co/5ZwY398V3f #organdonation @wave3news @TODAYshow https://t.co/uqeGbh4opN pic.twitter.com/LSwqaQnP9x— Terry Meiners ™️ (@terrymeiners) February 19, 2024 Joyful @wave3news meteorologist @TawanaAndrew on incredible #BlackHistoryMonth + fitness boxing🥊 loud hubby gaming 🗣️love of weather forecasting ⛈️☔️@840WHAS audio 📣 https://t.co/8OrmgvcGHp#media #history #loumedia pic.twitter.com/Ypgm5iKms1— Terry Meiners ™️ (@terrymeiners) February 19, 2024 UK radio voice, national champion, and former NBA player @goosegivens has lived at the

Dear God, our judge, heal our brokenness
God, our judge, we plead our case with you. Lay your Divine hand upon the outcome of this (Derek Chauvin) case and also on our compatriots' anger, thoughts of revenge, and the insatiable need to disrupt and destroy. Stay any inclinations toward violence and remind us that vengeful behavior is no more justified than the acts of those who precipitated this grief and harm and ignited our cities. As you inevitably judge our response to the incidents of unrest that plague our land, forgive our iniquities and heal our brokenness. Redeem the soul of our country. Today's opening prayer in Congress delivered by Rear Admiral Margaret Grun Kibben (ret) covers every facet of America's dilemmas with right and wrong, race equity,
Breonna Taylor, saint or sinner, continues to divide the culture
The New York Times released a video simulation and multiple reports recapping the shooting of Breonna Taylor by Louisville Metro Police Department officers last March. It is compelling on many fronts and illustrates the tragedy of Taylor's death juxtaposed with the challenges for law enforcement safely serving warrants. No cameras captured the final minutes of Breonna Taylor’s life. We used crime scene evidence and testimony to reconstruct what happened and show the mistakes that led to her killing by police. Times report offers a comprehensive recap but most people made up their minds about Breonna, Black Lives Matter, police, and the justice system months ago. The comments thread
Jussie didn’t do it. Jussie never lied. Jussie walks. America cringes.
The FBI to review the Jussie Smollett case dismissal after President Trump calls it "outrageous" and an "embarrassment" in a tweet, @Miguelnbc has the very latest. pic.twitter.com/8v1l4EUo1u— TODAY (@TODAYshow) March 28, 2019 Actor Jussie Smollett walked away from 16 charges related to a hoax racial attack that police say Smollett orchestrated to heighten his fame. It worked. All charges have been dropped without an admission of guilt. Smollett's $10,000 in bail money was not returned and he agreed to two days of community service. And that's that. "Is it your position that he is in fact factually innocent?" @SavannahGuthrie to Jussie Smollett's attorney, Tina Glandian. pic.twitter.com/qHDY59xggG— TODAY (@TODAYshow) March 28, 2019 Anyone with a brain can shoot holes in Smollett's story.
Rep. John Yarmuth digs in, doesn’t believe CovCath student Nick Sandmann
Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3) joined me on 840WHAS to discuss his tweets damning the students of Covington Catholic high school as "appalling" and displaying "racist hatred" at a January field trip to DC. Yarmuth declined to apologize for tweeting before learning the wider story of a group of adult Herbrew Israelites hurling abusive, homophobic language at the students, and how additional video showed that the Native American group approached the students. Initial social and traditional media accounts reported that the students "swarmed" the Native Americans to mock and intimidate the elders. Whoooooaaaaa. Slow your roll, rush-to-judgment team. The videos don't lie. Agenda-driven social justice warriors supplying limited views do lie. Student Nick Sandmann appeared on TODAY to tell his story. It was
Poor speller attempts to respond to my radio race conversation
On our July 1st 840WHAS radio show, representatives of Descendants of American Slaves talked about race classifications that better define people by origin, leading to better understanding of life purpose.
