Halloween in Big Boo Nation
This year's University of Kentucky football season launched with several nice wins and a close call with Florida. Now 4-4 with a blowout at the hands of rival Tennessee, UK fans are clamoring for basketball to begin. Chillax. QB Patrick Towles still believes an 8-4 season is at hand. Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops: "Not a very good effort...(UK will) go get (win) #5...the only way to make this feeling go away." The Bob Baffert-trained 3-year-old will attempt to become horse racing's 12th Triple Crown winner - and first since Affirmed in 1978 - in the 147th running of the $1.5 million Belmont Stakes (Grade I) on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Belmont Park. Splits for the workout were :12.20, :24 and :35.80. He galloped out five furlongs in 1:00.40 and three-quarters of a mile in 1:13.20.
