It's already been 6 years since I sat down for a reunion with my first TV wife on WHAS11's Great Day Live! I was lucky enough to work alongside Ange (pronounced Angie but, yes, that's how she spells it) Humphrey on my first regular TV show in the fall of 1987. It was a locally packaged version of PM Magazine called PM Louisville. By that time, Ange was an established media personality from her 1973 launch as the WLKY-TV "weather girl." She was also a country singer, emcee, interviewer, and storyteller. I was a TV novice but Ange was patient, kind, and thoughtful as my learning curve sharpened. Her positivity elevated the entire studio. Total pro. Prior to our stint at WHAS-TV, Ange had

After another police officer is assassinated, Mayor Fischer proclaims Louisville safe
26-year-old Brandon Shirley, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy, was shot to death while working security at a Shively car lot. Deputy Shirley's assailant has not been apprehended although Louisville Metro Police Chief Erika Shields says they have identified potential suspects. Chief Shields said the victim was targeted. โIf someone is really determined to kill you, they will kill you. And that was the case here,โ she said during the news briefing. โWe will make an arrest,โ Shields said. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer joined me on 840WHAS radio today to discuss the decorated officer's death and answer questions about protection of law enforcement and the overall safety of the city. ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill dies 10 days after his last performance in Louisville ๐ธ๐ธ
