Vulgar, vicious, violent dirtbags preparing for four more years of Trump as president, find some ear plugs and an eye mask, media still caught in partisan trap
America's worst week ever is at our doorstep but partisans can't see the big picture. They'd rather snipe about the cockwomble POTUS and whatever today's covfefe miscue might be. Here's the real story. A pandemic is about to kill more people than the U.S. has seen to date and it uniformly affects people of all races, creeds, religions, ethnicities, atheists, and political persuasions. So much mainstream media and social media is focused on the faults of President Donald Trump that the overriding message of STAY HOME OR SPREAD DEATH is lost on petty partisan people. Give it a rest, nutballs. We are in a global struggle to SAVE THE WORLD, not worry about whether Trump misspelled something in a tweet.
ACCUSATORY MEDIA – Never mind the pandemic. Let’s hashtag!
Keen analysis from @MZHemingway. @Yamiche is clearly an activist masquerading as a journalist, e.g. when she tried to connect American nationalism to racism. It’s appalling that taxpayers fund part of her salary.https://t.co/JwfXQiJPJr https://t.co/D5oI46f788— Steve Cortes (@CortesSteve) April 2, 2020 The codependency of an adversarial media vs. a narcissistic president produces skewed news. This is a glowing example of how our media business has crashed and burned. As comedian Jon Stewart pointed out years ago, media egos took the bait and no straight reporting has been produced since.
Here’s Mitch McConnell on unanimous Senate passage of the stimulus bill, meanwhile Ky Rep. Thomas Massie needs some attention, UPDATE: bill passes as Massie is ignored
Let's not bury the lede. The largest stimulus bill in American history was passed by the Senate, then the House, and signed by President Donald Trump today. It was an honor to join @POTUS at the White House today for the signing of the CARES Act. The American people needed this rescue package. They needed it quickly. And the Senate delivered, 96-0. It's a proud moment for our country. pic.twitter.com/jk33y5D5lg— Leader McConnell (@senatemajldr) March 27, 2020 Now for the rocky road to get here. America is in a freefall from the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus called COVID-19. Surely every elected official will jump in to craft a plan for recovery! Not quite. But Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, and
Did Earl Schieb do my makeup? That’s a nasty question!
President Trump: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."The Media: "That's false hope! It's not approved for use yet!"New York Gov. Cuomo: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."The Media: "This is real leadership! What a fantastic idea!"— Emerald Robinson ✝️ (@EmeraldRobinson) March 23, 2020 And that's a summary of America's messaging during COVID-19. But wait! Where's Fauci! Where is he? Trump had him killed for second guessing him! Trump is a monster! Trump is a dictator! Trump is....oh wait...never mind, America. But thanks for the clicks on our websites! John Yarmuth speaks from self-quarantine, America’s free money, China’s sketchy relationship with truth, what to do with factory workers
Rep. John Yarmuth joined me on the phone from his self-quarantine to discuss his recent coronavirus test, a necessary step after being in close contact with Brown Forman heir Christy Brown who had just tested positive. The radio interview spilled into whether U.S. health officials should trust health assessments released by Chinese officials, and whether American consumers should be subjected to taking medications manufactured in China. We also discussed COVID-19 challenges for workers at both Louisville area Ford plants. Over 13,000 workers are employed at Ford alone, with thousands more clustered at other factories and Amazon distribution centers. Here’s @RepJohnYarmuth on his brush with #COVID19, possible shutdowns @ford, who’d receive free govt 💰, trusting Chinese medications, & doubting that @realDonaldTrump actually took a
Vince Tyra on the financial freefall facing college sports, Pitino admission that he deserved to be fired
University of Louisville athletics director Vince Tyra did an extensive interview with me on 840WHAS regarding the complete shutdown of sports during the global coronavirus pandemic. Vince had a lot to say about the financial challenges his department faces, how to keep student athletes engaged during the down time, responsibilities for coaches, and a message for fans left hanging in limbo. Here’s @vincetyra on responsibilities for UofL student athletes and coaches during #COVID19 shutdown, financial challenges going forward, more 🏀🏈⚾️ @840WHAS audio https://t.co/zOQTbjSdnM @theacc @ncaa pic.twitter.com/hFScKsHNOk— Terry Meiners (@terrymeiners) March 17, 2020 I also asked Tyra for comment on Rick Pitino's new statement that he "deserved to be fired" by the University of Louisville. It’s all but over for Bernie Sanders, and hey, let’s check the history on so-called Democratic socialism
Now that Super Tuesday 3 is in the books, the numbers are ominous for Senator Bernie Sanders. There is really no path to victory now that former Vice President Joe Biden has roared through another big Democratic primary sweep. From DailyMail.com Louisville's second most popular music star Jim James of My Morning Jacket (yes, Jack Harlow is now a bigger deal) did his best to stoke the #FeelTheBern crowd by appearing at an online rally. America is sequestered during a coronavirus pandemic so all musicians are practicing "social distancing" onstage as viewers watch online. Louisville's MMJ star @jimjames joined @neilyoung and his mermaid to help @BernieSanders on the eve of #SuperTuesday3. It led to a bad day at the polls and now
