So far, my horse is still in it. A spot along the rail is the best seat in any sporting venue anywhere. In Kentucky, we teach them the fine art of pari-mutuel wagering as soon as they're old enough to reach the betting window. Keeneland in the the spring: a perfectly Kentucky experience

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE OUTCOME OF THIS SITUATION? From: Lorey, Mary B. [Mary.Lorey@nortonhealthcare.org] Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2014 2:26 PM To: MEINERS, TERRY A Subject: CRAZY NONSENSE FROM METRO ANIMAL SERVICES! I need help and the Dr. in the Neurosurgical practice I work for said to E-mail you since you are “all that!” Last evening a woman was outside on Eastern Parkway yelling and screaming, traffic had stopped and a smallish white dog was running frantic. This woman claims the dog attacked her after being thrown out of a moving car, and being hit by another. The person that threw the dog sped off while the man that ran over her stopped until cars starting to honk to get by. This dog was obviously very injured
It’s always basketball season in Kentucky
Securing the 2013 NCAA Championship for Louisville occurred late in the first half when Luke Hancock popped four 3-pointers and Montrezl Harrell slammed a monster dunk to take the lead and the momentum. On April 14, 2014, both Harrell and Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein announced that they would return to their respective schools to play another college basketball season. Rejoicing could be heard across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where UK's marvelous 2014 campaign ended with a disappointing loss to UConn. With the returns of Harrell and Cauley-Stein, hope springs eternal. For the most ardent fans, lessons are learned.

At least he irony’d his shirt
Louisville attorney Thomas McAdam posted the photo and text on his Facebook page: "An Oregon motorist wearing a “Drunk As Shit” t-shirt was arrested Sunday night on a DUI charge. Ross McMakin, a 21-year-old Corvalis resident, was collared after he drove his vehicle on the sidewalk, struck a parked car, and then assaulted his girlfriend when she tried to seize the car keys. According to cops, McMakin, seen in the adjacent mug shot, was behind the wheel because his girlfriend did not know how to drive a stick shift. McMakin was charged with an assortment of crimes, including drunk driving, reckless endangerment, harassment, and strangulation (for throttling his girlfriend)."

Lexington native Jim Varney tickled the funny bones of millions through his career as an actor, comedian, musician, and commercial pitchman. He was most famous for his TV commercials where he played the annoying neighbor Ernest P. Worrell, constantly intruding on the never-seen neighbor "Vern." Here is a terrific reel of classic commercials and bloopers from those commercial shoots. The commercial character launched Varney into a series of silly theater movies based on the premise of "Ernest Goes To..." Jim Varney died in 2000 at age 50 but Ernest lives on.
